Dear members of the De La Salle College community,
It is with great shock and sadness that I have to inform you of the tragic death of one of our Year 12 students on Sunday morning.
Lil- Bouvalu Lyden 12 KUM died from injuries he received in a car accident.
Lil- Bouvalu’s passing will be a tragic shock to his family and friends and we will be providing support for Lil-Bouvalu’s family and our young men as they come to terms with this huge loss.
I have spoken with Lil- Bouvalu’s mother and offered her our love and support of the entire College community; she said that they feel strengthened by this.
Lil-Bouvalu has a brother at De La Salle, Malyk who is in Year 10.
On Monday morning at 8.40am the College will have an Assembly and Liturgy for all students and staff.
The College Chapel will be available as a quiet prayer space and there will be staff rostered there to support our young men.
The College Counselling team will be available for staff or students who wish to speak with a member of the team throughout the next few days and further if needed.
I ask that you keep Lil-Bouvalu and his family in your prayers and we ask that you wrap your love and support around them during this very tough time.
