Teachers’ Strike on Wednesday 29 March 2023
The PPTA has advised the De La Salle College Board of Trustees that its member teachers at our school will be taking strike action on Wednesday 29 March 2023.
The Board and Senior Leadership Team have carefully considered whether we could provide our normal programme with a number of non-union teaching staff and we have decided that we will be able to hold normal timetabled classes for all Year 11, 12 and 13 students.
The College is aware of the number of days that our students have lost this year and we would like all Year 11, 12 and 13 at school on Wednesday.
If your Year 7-10 son is unable to be supervised at home on this day, we can supervise a small number of students if required. Please contact Mr English, englishtd2@delasalle.school.nz before Tuesday 28 March if your son requires supervision. Any Year 7-10 student requiring supervision on this day will be required to complete work online during the day in the College Library.
Boys who are at home on this day should take the opportunity to access their schoolwork on their Teams pages.
I understand the disruption that these events can cause for families, and thank you for continuous support of your sons in their education.
